British Columbia Conducts Two Provincial Nominee Program Draws

Publish Date: 15/12/2024

On December 10, the British Columbia Provincial Nominee Program (BCPNP) held two draws targeting candidates under various streams.

General Draw Results

The first draw focused on the Skilled Worker (including the Express Entry British Columbia (EEBC) option) and Entry Level & Semi-Skilled streams. A total of six Invitations to Apply (ITAs) were issued with the following minimum scores:

  • Skilled Worker (including EEBC option): 148
  • Entry Level & Semi-Skilled: 121

The EEBC option, an enhanced stream aligned with Canada’s federal Express Entry system, enables the province to consider eligible candidates in the Express Entry pool.

Targeted Draw Results

The second draw prioritized candidates with professional experience in key sectors of British Columbia’s economy under the Skilled Worker stream (including the EEBC option). A total of at least four ITAs were issued, with minimum scores varying by sector:

  • Childcare: 101 (fewer than five ITAs)
  • Construction: 112 (fewer than five ITAs)
  • Healthcare: 121 (fewer than five ITAs)
  • Veterinary care: 80 (fewer than five ITAs)

These draws highlight British Columbia’s ongoing efforts to address labor market needs and attract skilled professionals in high-demand fields.
