New Brunswick Conducts First Provincial Nominee Draws of 2025

March 22, 2025 – The New Brunswick Provincial Nominee Program (NBPNP) held its first provincial draws of the year on March 5 and 6, issuing 498 Invitations to Apply (ITAs) under the New Brunswick Skilled Worker stream. The draw targeted candidates in healthcare, education, social & community services, and construction trades.

Details of the NBPNP Draws

The invitations were issued through two pathways:

• New Brunswick Skilled Worker—New Brunswick Experience
• New Brunswick Skilled Worker—New Brunswick Graduates

Unlike past draws, the NBPNP did not announce a CRS cut-off score for these selections.

Changes to New Brunswick’s Immigration Program

With a reduced provincial immigration allocation for 2025, New Brunswick is focusing on aligning immigration with labor market needs. The province has been allocated 2,750 immigration spots, distributed as follows:

• 1,500 spots for NBPNP
• 1,250 spots for the Atlantic Immigration Program (AIP)

Additionally, the New Brunswick Skilled Worker stream has now expanded into three pathways:

• New Brunswick Experience – Requires six months of full-time work in the province with employer support.
• New Brunswick Graduates – Open to PGWP holders who studied in New Brunswick and have a full-time job or offer.
• New Brunswick Priority Occupations – Requires a job offer in a priority NOC from a government-led recruitment mission and one year of work experience in the role.

With New Brunswick strategically adjusting its immigration streams, skilled professionals in key sectors stand a strong chance of receiving nominations in upcoming draws.
