New Brunswick Hits Cap for Express Entry PNP Allocations

On August 16, New Brunswick exhausted its quota for the number of Invitations to Apply (ITAs) issued to the New Brunswick Express Entry category of its PNP.

Further processing of the mentioned applications is as follows:

Applications submitted before the 16th of August 2024 will be processed, and those who received ITA before the said date should complete their nomination applications.

New Brunswick uses the Express Entry category which has three sub-categories each with distinct qualifying factors. All candidates must be in the federal Express Entry pool through one of the following programs: It may be the Federal Skilled Worker Program, Canadian Experience Class, or Federal Skilled Trades Program.

1. NB Employment Connection: This is available to persons who have been residing in New Brunswick for the last six months and are actively employed with a full-time job or have a full-time offer from an employer in New Brunswick.
2. NB Student Connection: Available to students coming from recognized post-secondary institutions in New Brunswick, studying in a Program that may be eligible for PGWP.
3. NB Priorities Connection: It is an approach that emphasizes candidates who have gained experience that caters to the needs of the labor market in the province.
