Newfoundland and Labrador Increases PNP Nominations, Temporarily Pauses Applications

Publish Date: 04/02/2025

In a significant update, Newfoundland and Labrador has successfully negotiated an increase of 1,000 additional nominations for its 2025 Provincial Nominee Program (PNP). This raises the province’s total PNP allocation to 2,050, alongside 475 spaces under the Atlantic Immigration Program (AIP), bringing the total nomination capacity to 2,525 for 2025.

Temporary Pause in Application Intake

To adjust to the new allocation and improve processing efficiency, the Newfoundland and Labrador Provincial Nominee Program (NLPNP) has temporarily paused the intake of new applications for nomination and job vacancy assessments until mid-February.

Additionally, the 25-day service standard will be suspended during this period. However, applications from healthcare workers and other in-demand occupations will continue to be processed on a priority basis.
