Newfoundland and Labrador has officially issued its first round of invitations through its newly implemented Expression of Interest (EOI) system, marking a significant shift in how the province selects candidates for immigration.
The new online system, launched in February 2025, is designed to streamline immigration processing and better match candidates with Newfoundland and Labrador’s labour market needs.

On April 8, the province invited 256 candidates to apply through two programs:

The new EOI system requires candidates to first submit a profile online. Only those selected by the province will be invited to apply for provincial nomination (NLPNP) or endorsement (AIP).
New Brunswick: Multiple Draws Target Key Sectors
Meanwhile, New Brunswick conducted several provincial immigration draws between April 6 and April 12, focusing on candidates with experience in high-demand fields.

On April 9, New Brunswick issued 45 invitations under the NB Express Entry Stream – Employment in New Brunswick. To qualify, candidates needed at least 12 months of full-time work with a local employer.
