Saskatchewan Launches New PNP Pathways for Skilled Workers in Healthcare and Agriculture

On 30th Aug, the Government of Saskatchewan launched two new PNP streams under the Saskatchewan Immigrant Nominee Program, the SINP that aims to welcome Healthcare & Agriculture Skilled Workers.

Eligibility Criteria

Agriculture Talent Stream

  • Pass a language test and obtain at least Canadian Language Benchmark (CLB) 4, despite, certain employers may demand a higher level of language proficiency.
  • Have obtained education marks for Class X or equivalent or have passed and have completed education for any other higher level of schooling.
  • Obtain one year or more of full-time job experience in the past 3 years if migrating in the intended field or a minimum of six months or 780 hours’ working experience with an employer who needs to issue a Job Approval Letter. 
  • Obtain a permanent, full-time job offer in the agricultural sector, in Saskatchewan.
  • Get a SINP job approval letter from the employer with whom the applicant wants to work that employer must be a registered employer with the SINP.

Health Talent Stream

  • If applicable licensing is required the candidate must be eligible for a Saskatchewan license.
  • Be below the age of 30 for the offered job and possess a post-secondary education applicable to the job, a master’s or bachelor’s degree, a three-year degree, or a diploma that requires two or more years of post-secondary education.
  • Prove readiness to wish to work and live in Saskatchewan in the future.
  • For those not in the Express Entry pool: III. Fluent in English and/or French with a written and/or spoken Canadian Language Benchmark of at least CLB 5; some jobs require CLB 7 and above.
  • For in-Saskatchewan applicants: Be able to demonstrate that have no less than six months (780 hours) of full-time work experience in the job for the employer who issued the Job Approval Letter, or have one year of work experience in the occupation in the past five years although not necessarily full time for the employer who issued the Job Approval Letter.
  • For Express Entry candidates: The Canadian Code is valid in this case, hence you should have a valid Express Entry Profile Number and Job Seeker Code; the language test results should be CLB 7 and above; the applicant’s work experience in the past five years should be at least one year of high-skilled work experience in the eligible occupation.
