This article sheds light on the best countries for women’s healthcare while highlighting International Women’s Day 2025. The first International Women’s Day was celebrated across Europe on 8th March 1913 as per the Georgian Calendar.

In 1917, a Women’s Day march by textile workers in Russia sparked the October Revolution, demanding an end to war, food shortages, and the Tsarist rule. Revolutionary leader Leon Trotsky later noted that this unexpected uprising led to the revolution. In 1922, Vladimir Lenin declared March 8 as International Women’s Day to honour women’s role in the revolution and made it a holiday.
As per the UN reports, International Women’s Day 2025 calls for the theme ‘’For ALL Women and Girls: Rights. Equality. Empowerment.’’ The theme portrays equal rights, power, and opportunities for all and a feminist future where nobody would be left behind. The main vision is to empower the coming generation, mostly the Youth population as a catalyst for a change that lasts for the next generation.
Additionally, if considering the theme of International Women’s Day 2025, with power and opportunities women’s health also cannot be left behind. As per the Global Women’s Healthcare Index, there are the best countries for Women’s Healthcare, providing women’s basic needs along with general health facilities, preventative care, and mental health. The countries are as follows:
1. GERMANY
Germany’s healthcare system covers public and private healthcare insurance for all, including foreigners and the woman’s life expectancy in the country is 83.

2. AUSTRALIA
The healthcare system for women in Australia provides a vast range of treatment, palliative, and preventive healthcare systems including foreigners. ‘’MBS- the Medicare Benefits Schedule’’ is listed under the Medicare services which is subsidized by the Australian Government. This organization provides health needs and predicts future healthcare needs for women.

3. TAIWAN
Taiwan’s national healthcare insurance for women provides universal healthcare services and covers primary care, specialty care, hospital stays, and mental health as well. The residents in Taiwan who reside in the country longer than 6 months are required to join the national health insurance system and before this, private insurance also has access to affordable care.
