The Australian Government has announced that starting July 2024, new applications for the Business Innovation and Investment (Provisional) (subclass 188) visa will no longer be accepted. Consequently, the Victorian Government will also stop accepting new applications for Victorian nomination for this visa subclass.
Holders of the subclass 188 visa who meet the criteria for the Business Innovation and Investment (Permanent) (subclass 888) visa can still pursue this pathway. Additionally, those in the Business Innovation or Significant Investor streams can apply for an extension if they need more time to meet the subclass 888 requirements.
The Victorian Government continues to accept applications for the 188 - Extension stream (subclass 188) and all streams of the subclass 888 visa.
