Nsw To Invest $769m In 100 New Public Preschools By 2027

Publish Date: 19/02/2024

The NSW government plans to invest $769 million in building 100 new public preschools, marking the largest-ever expansion in early childhood education in the state. The new preschools are slated to open by 2027, addressing the growing demand for early childhood education services in NSW.

The site selection for the preschools involved a data-driven approach, considering factors such as socioeconomic data, preschool demand, infrastructure feasibility, and community consultation.

Education and Early Learning Minister, 'Prue Car' reaffirms the government's commitment to high-quality public education and equal access to early childhood education, regardless of geographical location.
