SOUTH AFRICA Introduces Point-based System For Work Permits and Nomad Visa

South Africa Home Affairs Minister Leon Schreiber has introduced a point-based system for work permits and nomad visas that allows remote workers to live in the country while working for foreign companies.

The new regulations for both the visa categories are now finalized and the rollout is expected within the next 30 days. These new rules and regulations will enable the persons employed and paid in another country to reside in South Africa along with spending their foreign earnings locally.
