The United States Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) has announced that the H-1B cap registration period for the fiscal year 2026 will open from March 7, 2025, at 10:30 PM IST to March 24, 2025.
During this period, employers seeking to sponsor skilled foreign workers must register their beneficiaries electronically through the USCIS online account and pay the $215 registration fee per applicant.
USCIS has also introduced updates to its online account system. Employers without an existing USCIS online account will be required to create an organizational account to participate in the registration process. Additionally, employers who had an H-1B registrant account for FY 2021 – FY 2024, but did not use it for FY 2025, will find their accounts automatically converted to organizational accounts upon their next login.
