Publish Date: 26/08/2023

In 2023-24, the Department of Home Affairs has given fewer skilled visa nomination allocations to states and territories, including Queensland. Queensland's allocation this year is 1,550 nominations, less than of what was requested.

This includes 900 for Subclass 190, 650 for Subclass 491, and none for the Business Innovation and Investment Program (BIIP). All regions have faced reduced allocations this year.
