The Department of Health and Social Care (DHSC) has introduced a package of measures for the first time that includes national care career structure.
The new qualification will be introduced to support the works done by 37,000 care workers and backed by funding £75 million for care workers.
More than £50 million in funding is allocated for a novel qualification, aiming to assist up to 37,000 individuals engaged in direct adult social care roles to enroll in the newly introduced Level 2 Adult Social Care Certificate qualification from June 2024 to March 2025.
It includes funds around 116,000 training courses and qualifications, 34,000 Care Certificate qualifications, and continuous professional development and Investment of over £20 million for apprenticeships in social work and nursing.
