British Columbia and Manitoba invited over 400 candidates through their Provincial Nominee Programs (PNPs) this week.
Who Were Invited: These invitations targeted skilled workers and international graduates needed in both provinces.
Why They Were Invited: The provinces need these workers to fill in-demand jobs and support their economies.
What PNPs Do: Provincial Nominee Programs help provinces pick people for permanent residency based on their needs.
Why It Matters: This helps provinces address job shortages and grow their economies.
1. British Columbia Provincial Nominee Program (BCPNP) has issued 88 invitations to apply for permanent residence through its Skilled Worker, International Graduate (includes Express Entry British Columbia (EEBC) option) stream.
Invitations issued for in-demand professions such as:
2. Manitoba Provincial Nominee Program (MPNP) issued over 350 invitations to apply.
MPNP invited 276 individuals under the National Occupation Classifications (NOC) through the Skilled Worker in Manitoba stream Occupation-specific selection stream (part of the Manitoba Work Experience pathway).
Specifically:
87 invitations through the Skilled Worker Overseas stream, with a minimum score of 691, and invitations through a Strategic Recruitment Initiative.
Out of the total 363 invitations issued through these two programs, 81 invitations were issued to candidates with valid Express Entry profiles, indicating both enhanced streams.
